Resident Evil 6: Things you may have missed...

So I found myself going frame by frame in one or two of the Resident Evil 6 trailers.  If you're a fan of the series...  There are a few things I've found that I think are interesting and you may have missed.

Yes, in this first image, Chris is pushing a camera man out of the way, probably telling him not to film.  Why a journalist would be filming amidst the chaos, I have no earthly idea, but apparently he is.

This image seems to indicate that Chris may have been actually infected with something.  Going along with Leon's insane story in RE 4, this may not be too far off the mark.  It'll be interesting to find out what goes on with Piers at the same time.

So here's an interesting picture.  Leon gets a little heated and demands information from Sherry.  We know that Jake pushes Leon, but Sherry also tries to intervene.

I believe this might be the bus that you see them getting on.  It seems to be rolling.  At first I thought it was the plane, but his wardrobe is completely different.  So there's no way it's the plane.

A continuation of the last scene.  You see right.  Leon is grabbing Helena.

Helena is boarding a bus and Leon is guarding the entrance.  From the trailer it appears that they may be trying to lead other survivors onboard, but that remains to be seen.

We've seen over the years that Leon has gotten extremely comfortable around Ada.... perhaps more than he should.  A prime example is this shot.  Remember the days when Leon used to point his gun at Ada when she showed up?  No longer...

Yet another part where Leon is helping out Helena.

See that flying girl?  That's Sherry.  See that guy on the bike?  That's Jake... See the connection?

Jake actually ends up getting halfway off his bike to help Sherry get on... while it's spinning.  What a gentlemen.

Here Jake is driving the bike and the person shooting towards the camera is Sherry.

I'm sure most of you have noticed this, but it deserves to be here.  Look how concerned he is.... :D

Direct revival to the heart...

Jake is injecting himself, probably the same way Wesker had to.

Yes, that's Jake jumping onto a moving helicopter.

I'm not exactly sure where this is taken, but it looks a lot like a plane, doesn't it?

Leon is being lifted off the ground wrestling style by a massive zombie.

The zombie that Leon is fighting is Likely one of Chris's unit...

Sherry and Jake are being taken away by zombies.  Why?  We don't know.  But both she and Jake are very upset...

Remember that bus that Leon and Helena got on?  I think it found a zombie road block...

This looks like a possible survivor or a zombie.  In the next part, the bus explodes.

Recognize Sherry's coat?  Is she bleeding?  Looks bad...

This is the guy from when Helena and her sister are locked up.  Watch the pendent around his neck.

Here is the new director telling Leon and Helena to "turn themselves in." See the resemblance?

This is a document that Ada is looking at.  Recognize anyone?  Who is that lady?

Same guy is telling Ada that she'll be responsible for infecting the world.  What you might have missed is that Ada is a confirmed character for the series, but there's also another character that looks just like her who is referred to as "unknown woman."  That would mean that there are essentially two Adas.  The real one and the fake one.  What we don't know is whether Ada is being framed or if she's in on it.

This is from the scene before where Leon is helping Helena again.  Looks like she took a pretty bad spill.

Remember that part where Leon is pointing his gun at the president?  He begs, he pleads, and then he screams something before he shoots.  So what is he screaming?  Actually, Leon and the President were good friends, but because Leon was his personal guard, he attempted to keep their relationship as professional as possible... At least he did until the end when he revealed how he truly felt.  Before he shot the President, Leon screamed the President's first name which is "Adam."

And for you Jake and Sherry fans, here's something that recently surfaced...

Disney: The Love, Hate Relationship

The Love & Hate of Disney -

The Hate:

1. The Steal

Being an Animator For Disney isn't quite as glamorous as it seems. Along with the less than a princess attitude, when you sign a contract with Disney, you're practically signing your life away. No kidding. As an animator they own the rights to any personal work that you make while employed with them. That includes any personal animations, stories, and creative ideas that you come up with. It gives a whole new meaning to "they own you."

2. The Copyright

You know those super annoying copyright laws that everyone keeps getting in trouble for? Once upon a time, copyrights for a corporate authorship was about 75 years. Thanks to Disney, that was extended to 95 years. Why? Remember that old as dirt steam boat cartoon that Disney made back in the day? You know... The one that you see in the opening credits for their 50th anniversary? That should be in creative commons by now, but thanks to Disney complaining to the court system, it's not. In fact, because of that one stupid cartoon, a ton of other stuff isn't either. And that's straight from the lips of a Hollywood producer, folks. But the crazy thing is, there's a big question mark as to whether the original cartoon was even copyrighted at all. Crazy how the world works, huh?

3. The Disney Patent

There are pages upon pages of Disney patents--titles, logos, and just plain things. They patent things like children eat candy. And make no mistake--those words you can't use or things you can't make... that isn't due to copyright. That's due to patent. It's insane the amount of things that Disney has under their control. Here are some on the list that I'm sure very few know about:

- Drink Dispenser #419826

- Water Slide #5540622

- Insect Capture Device #5537777

- TV Movies that talk back #4569026

- Video games that voice dialogue #4445187

- Computer mouse #D375484

- Amusement ride having spinning passenger cars #5453053

- Marine Mammal Communication Device #5392735

And the list goes on for miles. But hopefully this was enough to freak you out just a little. I know it freaked me out.

The Love:

1. Disney & Cartoons

Disney is something that almost every American has grown up with as a small child, and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone that as an adult doesn't still watch at least some things by Disney. After all, my generation was all about the Lion King and Cinderella. My personal favorite was Mulan. It was that something that explained the harder things about life without being too in your face. Like death for instance. Every child who ever watch the Lion king can tell you exactly what death is, and believe me, it wasn't their parents who were the ones to tell them.

2. Themes for All Ages

Perhaps one of the most successful things about Disney as a whole is that they built their works around the idea that both children and adults should be able to watch the same movie and enjoy it for both similar and entirely different reasons. This is precisely why, as an adult, rewatching the Disney cartoons appeals to you differently than it does when you are a child. You start to understand the jokes and the crazy lyrics. But by far, their greatest success is hiding the more crude jokes so artfully that children can't pickup on them--something that many studios trying to be like disney never quite mastered.

3. Disney the Artful

Disney animation was a crazy wonderful idea back when it first started. Each individual cell was hand crafted and colored, layered and photographed. The coloring on snow white's cheeks was said to be real makeup. It doesn't get much more artful than that. Today, things are a little different, but Disney continues to put out fairly good works. And then there's Pixar. For those who don't know, Pixar is owned by Disney. Contrary to the belief that Disney owns everything, in fact, it's Paramount that owns and distributes Nickelodeon, Dreamworks, MTV, and Marvel. Who can blame Disney for wanting to get in on the action a little?

---

So you see... Disney is a true Love, Hate relationship. I can't decide yet whether I love them or hate them... maybe I'll never be able to.

Hilton 2 Project

Story Board -

Synopsis
- Various items are used to travel between different parts of the hotel, using two people as the vehicle to move the audience through the space--from one object to another. This project is meant to include the idea of being eco-friendly, convenient, and comfortable as a combination.

Pitch - How it works. In relation to how the camera will get in tighter and then come out to larger parts, the camera's zoom, as well as simply moving the camera forth and back. The subject can also move closer and further from the camera. Objects that are to dangle in the air at all can be momentarily attached to fishing line to get the affect of flight. Conceptually, it is meant to incorporate what I deem to be most important about Hilton 2 in a simple fashion.

Ideas - My inspirations are partly from some older commercials by Hilton and Hampton. The idea of moving through the space comes from the opening theme of the British TV show, Hotel Babylon.

Tokyo Story Movie Review

I think for the day, it was probably a pretty well-received movie, especially since it made it over seas from Japan at a time when the country was still getting used to being out of isolation. The movie itself I found, dragged a lot in the plot line. Scenes like extended shots of numbers in the train station or an empty door for several seconds after someone walked out of the room were almost bothersome in length and could have easily been taken out. Close-ups were sometimes odd as well, because when a woman's head was turned halfway, the close-up would be dead-on, making the lack of angle throw off the line of sight from the viewer. Overall, there was just a lot of information that didn't need to be there, and in fact made the movie drag more because it was included. It took me several tries to get through this movie. I'm glad to finally be done.

H2 - Combinations

The key in this version is to walk through the spaces, using one item that at least two spaces have in common. Emphasis is often on convenience and comfort.
